‘The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Damon is Back, Stefan and Elena Moving On
Season five's finale last May left everyone in disbelief, shock and in tears at what happened to Damon and Bonnie, as they died and went to The Other Side. However, it seems that Damon is alive and will be back on season 6 and so is Bonnie. As to whatever happened to the two after their supposed death, fans will get the answers when season 6 premieres on October 2.
Ian Somerhalder, who plays Damon Salvatore since the CW series started in 2009 gives a much-welcome teaser to the fans through Instagram. He posted a photo of Damon showing him with fangs, and with a caption saying "He's back! #DamonSalvatore." Since this juicy news is coming from Somerhalder himself, it's probably safe to say that we'll get to see Damon and more Damon in the upcoming season 6. It's a big reason to rejoice for Damon fans, as this means he really didn't die during the last season's final episode.
Meanwhile, Elena and Stefan are still in the process of moving on from Damon's demise. Elena tries to overcome her deep sadness, even resorting to witchy drugs to hallucinate Damon. Stefan tries to convince her to say goodbye to Damon. Fans will also see her as an intern at the Whitmore Medical Center and the center of an attraction to a vampire hunter Alaric Saltzman.
Stefan, also grieving for his brother will be far from Mystic Falls as he tries to move on. He will also take up a new profession; which could be as a bartender, paramedic, doctor, or mechanic.
Somerhalder also hinted that season 6 could be the last, although it has yet to be confirmed by CW. First teaser for the upcoming season was unveiled focusing on Damon's fate and the aftermath of his demise to Elena and the rest.
