‘The Good Wife' Season 6 Spoilers: Tougher Alicia, No Romance, Debut on Sept. 21
Fresh from her recent 66th Emmy Awards Best Actress for drama win, Julianna Margulies reveals some juicy snippets about the upcoming new season of "The Good Wife."
Season 6 will start with the events after the shocking and intense finale that saw Will Gardner being shot in the courtroom by his own client. Alicia, Diane and Kalinda find themselves at a crossroad after Will's unfortunate demise. The incident started to make them question and reconsider some things about the course of their own careers. Alicia, in particular was the most affected one after being emotionally drained from losing Will.
Margulies says that the courtroom drama's central story will now focus on Alicia and her husband Peter Florrick's relationship. It can be recalled in season 5 that Alicia decided to split up with Peter but remained married for the public and their careers' sake. Peter and Alicia would probably be faced with marriage problems, with Alicia already giving up and Peter with his eyes on his intern. Marguelies also teases that she may be heading for a political career this time.
However, when it concerns her heart; Margulies discloses that it might be hard for her to move on from Will's tragedy, which means there is little probability of a new romance for Alicia. She adds though, that she's about to get tougher and will start to take herself less seriously.
Show creator Rober King divulges that viewers would probably see Kalinda and Alicia's friendship developing, Diane joining Alicia, more of Louis Canning, more Finn Polmar too as they love writing for Matthew Goode's character, and new additions to the cast: Steven Pasquale, Taye Diggs and Connie Nielsen.
Season 6 will premiere on CBS this coming 21 September, Sunday at 9/8c.
