The Originals  Season 2 Release Date and Spoilers: Premier Episode Title Revealed to be "Rebirth"; Klaus' New Life and a Bit from His Past

The producers of the hit series "The Originals - Michael Narducci and Julie Plec - have confirmed in an interview that the premier episode for its upcoming second season will be called "Rebirth." The show's producers added as well that this is also how the entire second season will happen in a gist - revolving around the theme of "rebirth."

Narducci revealed to TVLine that part of this "rebirth" process that the show will center on will have something to do with Klaus finally confronting his parents.

Season 2 will be "all about confronting the sins of the past. We're very much defined by our parents, but as we become adults, we begin to choose our paths ... Klaus is very much a product of his abusive father, and much a product of his mother," according to Narducci. Plec added that this theme will not only be significant to the characters, pertaining to the loss of Klaus' baby and the beginning of a new life for him, but it also carries a special meaning to the show itself.

"Every title we use, we try to make it a song title from New Orleans or an artist from New Orleans. Rebirth is one of the best brass bands in New Orleans, and they were in our pilot. We've been waiting to use that title for 22 episodes," revealed Plec.

It was also added that the upcoming season shall explore Klaus' past and his moral origins; with flashbacks to his childhood as well as the moment right before he became a vampire.

The "Originals" Season 2 will premiere on Oct. 6 on The CW.
