‘Downton Abbey' Season 5 Release Date: First Look at the New Family Members
"I feel a shaking of the ground I stand on. The nature of life is not permanence but flux, says Mr. Carson - Downton Abbey's old-fashioned butler in a teaser trailer released two months ago on June 24. With that in mind, it seems fans can look forward to a lot of changes in the lives of the aristocrats.
There is still a long way to go until the release of "Downton Abbey" Season 5 in the US, set for a release date on January 4 next year; while the new season of the period drama will premiere this coming September in the UK on ITV. But fans and dedicated viewers can already have a first look on some of the new things to watch out for this coming season.
PBS Masterpiece revealed some sneak peak to the new members of the Branson and the Crawley family, with the addition of Miss Sybil Branson (played by Fifi Hart) - the daughter of former chauffeur Tom Branson and the late Lady Sybil and Master George Crawley (played by twins Oliver and Zac Barker) - the son of Lady Mary and the late Matthew Crawley and is the heir apparent to the Earldom. How will the appearance of Sybil and Master George impact the lives of the Crawley, the Branson family and everything else?
And there is more, as Lesley Nicol, who portrays Mrs. Patmore reveals in an interview that there won't be any major characters dying this time around, in particular reference to the big fuss that was caused by Matthew Crawley's departure.
Wait for all the drama, tension and surprises to unfold on January 4, and if you're in the UK you're lucky to see it first this September.
