'The Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Release Date Oct 2014, New Trailer Released & Several New Cast Members Added, Watch Here (VIDEO)
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premiere is just a over a month away and they have released a new short trailer teaser for their fans (which you can watch above). are looking out for any updates they can on the upcoming season.
"The Vampire Diaries" Season 6 premieres Thursday, October 2nd at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
"The way we look at it, season six is a beautiful and organic reset. The theme of the season is everybody gets to start over. That's what we're going to do," executive producer Julie Plec told THR. "We're trying to take the show away from the massive genre extravaganza, where each season we try to top each other with the bigger, bad, more exciting mythologies and boil it back down to the beginning."
The show has just announced that several new cast members are set to be added to the show for Season 6. You can check out what people are saying about them.
Marco James: "Liam, an attractive and smart upperclassman at Whitmore College...cocky yet good-natured, he's a med student who comes from a family of doctors." (The Wrap)
Colin Ferguson: "Tripp...the head of a community militia who will do anything to protect his town." (TVLine)
Gabrielle Walsh: "Sarah, who comes to Mystic Falls with spunk, street smarts and a shady agenda." (Deadline)
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe: "Jo, a tough and accomplished doctor at the university hospital. She demands excellence from her students and has learned the hard way that there's no room for error in her profession." (EW)
Chris Wood will play the role of Kai TVGuide.com reports, "charmingly unstable newcomer with the unsettling ability to seem normal as the situation demands." Kai is described as the perfect mix of playful and obsessive.
Jayson Warner Smith has been cast in a recurring role, for at least two episodes, TVLine reports. He will play the owner of "a high-end hot rod shop."
Jodi Lyn O'Keefe will play Jo according to EW, "a tough and accomplished doctor at the university hospital. She demands excellence from her students and has learned the hard way that there's no room for error in her profession."
Previously reported new guest stars for Season 6 include Emily C. Chang as Ivy.
