Resident Evil: Final Chapter Delayed, Milla Jovovich Finds Out She's Pregnant
Few months ago, director Paul Anderson disclosed some details about the next installment of the Resident Evil franchise at this year's Beijing International Film Festival.
According to Anderson, the film may just be the last of the franchise. He also added that Resident Evil 6 will be shot using 3D technology and Li Bingbing will also be coming back to reprise her role as Ada Wong
Previous reports say that Resident Evil 6 was supposed to have started its production Fall of last year, but got delayed due to Anderson's committment with the film "Pompeii." With "Pompeii" wrapping up its production, fans expected that Anderson can now focus on Resident Evil 6. However, things have recently gotten to a different direction.
It may be bad news to some, but it also comes with a really great news. Milla Jovovich who stars as Alice and Anderson's wife recently announced via Facebook that she discovered she's pregnant, which means that she's not pushing through to Cape Town to start working on the film. The couple have decided that it's in everyone's best interest to resume filming for the movie when the baby is born.
With the announcement, the planned release date of 2015 after not making it to September this year will further be postponed. Fans would likely see the movie out in cinemas either late 2016 or early 2017.
Well, this maybe quite a long wait; but Jovovich also promised along with the baby news that they will make the best movie possible for Resident Evil 6.
