Apple Original Films will premiere Fleetwood Mac: The Chain, the band's first fully authorized documentary, globally on Apple TV on Friday, Jan. 29, 2027.

The film is directed by five-time Oscar nominee Frank Marshall and produced by The Kennedy/Marshall Company and White Horse Pictures. It brings together the voices and memories of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham, and Stevie Nicks.

The documentary traces the band's story from their 1974 meeting through its highs and lows, with never-before-seen footage and new interviews. It also explores what drew the members back together when pressure inside and outside the band threatened to tear them apart.

The title comes from the hit "The Chain," the only song on Rumours credited to all five members. The premiere coincides with the 50th anniversary of the Grammy-winning album. The band has sold more than 220 million records worldwide.

At its heart, the film asks what keeps a family of artists together through heartbreak and hard seasons, a story of perseverance and reconciliation that many people of faith will recognize.

Apple has not yet shared a trailer.
