Ella Langley's "Choosin' Texas" logged its 24th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Oct. 3. This week also brought a Drake song built on it and a new duet with Miranda Lambert.
The record
The song passed Mariah Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You," which led the chart for 22 weeks, to become the longest-running Hot 100 No. 1 ever. It also tops Hot Country Songs for a 42nd week. It came out Oct. 17, 2025, as the lead single from her second album, Dandelion.
Drake's "Solar Eclipse"
Drake released four songs as a deluxe edition of HABIBTI, including "Solar Eclipse," which interpolates "Choosin' Texas." Miranda Lambert is credited as a co-writer on it because she co-wrote the original.
Miranda Lambert's new duet
Langley joins Lambert on "Snakeskin Boots," which appears on Lambert's new album Crisco. The album arrived Oct. 2. Lambert also helped write "Choosin' Texas" and produced Dandelion with Langley.
A moment of gratitude
When the record fell, Langley thanked fans on Instagram, saying the song is changing the lives of her family and its writers.
"Choosin' Texas" is available on all major streaming platforms.
