After a month of cryptic clues, Drake has finally revealed what "Fear of Missing Out" actually is - and it's not the album many fans expected.
The Toronto rapper dropped a new teaser Saturday confirming FOMO is "a not so short film directed and scored by the family," set to premiere on YouTube Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 9 p.m. ET. The 25-second clip shows Drake behind the wheel of a neon-green speedboat as a woman narrates a reflection on choice and self-discovery: "What if I told you there were two versions of your life? In one, you avoid risk and withhold love... In the other version of your life, you find it."
The rollout began quietly on Aug. 12 with a carousel of old family photos captioned "FOMO 2026." Weeks of speculation followed, including a CD jewel case with a camera emoji and a sighting of Drake filming at Toronto's Canadian National Exhibition. No plot, cast list, or runtime has been confirmed, and it's still unclear whether the project includes any new music.
The film caps off a busy year for Drake, who has already released "ICEMAN," "HABIBTI," and "MAID OF HONOUR" in 2026.
Whatever unfolds on screen Tuesday night, the teaser's own framing - a choice between fear and finding what you're truly looking for - touches on a question worth sitting with regardless of who's asking it.
