Perez Hilton's longtime podcast has been placed on hold as the celebrity blogger continues receiving medical care, with his co-host Chris Booker revealing that the show's future remains uncertain while all attention stays focused on Hilton's recovery.
The update comes after Hilton's family confirmed that he is receiving medical treatment following his recent hospitalization. Now, Booker has shared a heartfelt message asking fans to respect the family's privacy during what he described as an "impossible time."
"I am so profoundly sad for Perez and his family and what they're all are going through," Booker wrote. "It's truly unimaginable."
Booker explained that he has only spoken briefly with Hilton's family and urged followers to rely solely on official updates released through PerezHilton.com. He also revealed that even family members have struggled to receive information because of strict confidentiality measures at the hospital amid overwhelming public interest.
As for their long-running partnership, Booker said no decision has been made about whether The Perez Hilton Podcast will continue.
"The shows (iHeart Podcast and Patreon) are all TBD at the moment as our collective focus is on his health," he wrote. "I certainly hope to continue them with my friend when the time is appropriate."
Reflecting on more than a decade of working together, Booker added that the outpouring of support from listeners has been overwhelming.
"We've done these shows for over a decade now and the support from our listeners has been resounding. He is very loved. I can only hope that he feels it. Heal up, friend."
The latest development comes just months after Hilton revealed he had experienced a dramatic spiritual transformation following a separate 21-day hospitalization earlier this year.
In March, the celebrity gossip blogger shared that complications from the flu led to an ulcer, a perforation, sepsis, multiple procedures, and weeks in the hospital. Looking back on that ordeal, Hilton tearfully said he encountered God in a way that permanently changed his life.
"God presented Himself to me," he said. "I don't have to hope to believe. I know now."
That testimony made headlines for marking a profound shift in Hilton's outlook, as he said he planned to begin taking his three children to church every week after what he described as a miraculous experience.
For now, however, Hilton's current recovery remains the priority, with his family requesting privacy and promising that any future updates will be shared when appropriate.
