The Walking Dead Season 5 News, Rumors, Spoilers, and Updates: Creator Robert Kirkman interviews Andrew Lincoln
Fall TV season is just around the corner which means the new season of The Walking Dead will start crawling back to television in October.
Actor Andrew Lincoln, who portrays protagonist Rick Grimes, was interviewed by The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman at the Fox International Breakfast at San Diego Comic-Con regarding on how this season will be different from the last 3, Lincoln responded by saying, "I think that this first episode is the strongest, most complete episode that we've done. It's full of action, the biggest action sequence that we've ever attempted," he continued, "But it's also got one of the most incredible narrative scripts, and one of the coolest after credits coda."
In terms of characters, Emily Kinney who plays Beth, spoke about the relationship between Daryl and her character saying, "I think they definitely have a certain connection that has grown from surviving together, they have gotten to know each other on a different level that's really special, whether its friendship or something else. It's a deeper relationship."
The complexity of the post-apocalyptic world was also discussed by executive producer Tom Luse during an interview with the AMC TV blog saying, "I think our journey this season, especially at the beginning, is going to show the scale of the world that we're living in a way that we haven't done before. That is the most interesting thing. We're showing many aspects of what has been going on for the last couple of years that we haven't had an opportunity to show before."
The Walking Dead Season 5 begins on October 12 on AMC.
