Star Wars Battlefront 3 2015 Release Date, Gameplay, Rumors, News and Updates
Back in 2013 at the Electronic Entertainment Expo, Electronic Arts Digital Illusions CE (DICE) announced that Star Wars Battlefront 3 is in the works and also showed a teaser trailer for the game. Ever since, the gaming world has been excitedly anticipating the release date of the game. It was recently revealed that Star Wars battlefront 3 would be released summer 2015.
Very few details have been officially released since then by EA but they have confirmed that the game will be built on the Frostbite 3 engine. The new game is the third entry to the Battlefront franchise which was first established back in 2004. It's been revealed that it won't be a continuation of Battlefield II, but more likely a re-launch/reboot of the franchise.
Back in June at the E3 2014 press conference, the planet Hoth and the forest moon of Endor was confirmed to be playable maps in the game. Also, the planet Tatooine has also been confirmed to be a playable map. Rumors circulating around the internet have speculated that the gameplay will include the capability to ride and control various vehicles/spaceships set in the Star Wars universe.
Star Wars Battlefront 3 is being developed by Electronic Arts and will be distributed by LucasArts with an expected release date sometime in the summer of 2015 for the PlaysStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The 2015 release date was purposefully set to coincide with the December 18 release of the highly-anticipated Star Wars sequel, Star Wars Episode VII.
