Grammy-nominated producer Tay Keith, born Brytavious Lakeith Chambers, was found dead June 18 at his Nashville apartment. He was 29.

As of June 19, his cause of death remains officially unclassified - and the music community is still processing the loss.

Metro Nashville Police confirmed no foul play is suspected. Authorities say the death will remain unclassified until autopsy results are returned, and no timeline has been given for those findings.

While answers remain pending, the tributes have been immediate and personal.

BlocBoy JB - one of Tay Keith's earliest collaborators and closest friends - posted a series of Instagram Stories expressing raw grief.

He shared a throwback photo of the two together, then posted a screenshot of their call logs showing daily contact. "Damn Cuz You Just Hurt Me Bad," he wrote. "We talked everyday yeen tell me you was leaving."

Hitkidd, another Memphis producer who worked alongside Tay Keith dating back to 2010, shared a photo with a simple caption: "I ain't even got the words, we been doing this since 2010."

Producer BanBwoi also spoke out, calling the loss the closest death he had ever experienced.

Tay Keith built his name from Memphis before his sound became the backbone of modern hip-hop - behind Travis Scott's "Sicko Mode," Drake's "Nonstop," BlocBoy JB's "Look Alive," and Beyoncé's live album.

He once said publicly that he grew up in a Christian home, still believes in God, and chooses to pray privately rather than attend church - a quiet faith that now rests in the hands of something greater than any answer an autopsy can provide.
