Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain: Expected October This Year at Gamescom With Merchandise, New Features, Preview
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain designed and produced by Hideo Kojima has been finally revealed at a special hour-long preview at the Sony Gamescom 2014 press conference held at Cologne's Musical Dome.
One of the highlights of the big reveal is the improved box technology, which is one of the trademark features of the videogame series. This time, the boxes can be adorned with an image of a bikini model to distract enemies and allowing players to play the Big Boss.
Kojima himself presented the live new gameplay demonstration on stage, as well as openly indulging in a Q&A portion with fans at the event, and revealed more things to watch out for from Kojima Productions' mind-blowing developments. Fans were also treated with the newest Metal Gear Solid merchandise items. The event was hosted by Geoff Keighley, SPIKE host and games journalist.
The new game from the Metal Gear series first came to public awareness at the E3 (Electronic Entertainment Expo) at the Los Angeles Convention Center, and featured the voice of Kiefer Sutherland as Kojima Productions demonstrated a mission. However, most recently at the Gamescom, it became known that Metal Gear Solid V is expected to land sooner than next year, a report says that it's going to be this coming October for PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Phantom Pain will be the continuation of its prologue, the Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and will still use the tagline Tactical Espionage Operations.
Fans and alike have been showing positive responses that it's a stunning open-world action-adventure game, at the same time pure comedy and with a touch of playfulness, which clearly suggests Kojima's sense of humor.
