Country superstars Rascal Flatts are riding high in early 2026, celebrating a major career milestone while packing arenas on their Life Is A Highway Tour.

During their February 5 stop at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena, the trio was surprised onstage with a plaque commemorating 10 million album sales - a landmark achievement that further cements their legacy as one of the most successful country acts of the 21st century.

Presented by Big Machine Label Group founder Scott Borchetta, the honor came during the band's first headlining performance in Music City in more than a decade.

Double Platinum Hits and a 26-Year Legacy

The celebration didn't stop at album sales.

Rascal Flatts also learned that their beloved hits "I Won't Let Go" and "I Like the Sound of That" have officially been certified double Platinum, while "Yours If You Want It" has reached Platinum status.

For a group that has spent 26 years delivering chart-topping anthems, emotional ballads, and arena-sized singalongs, the moment felt both nostalgic and triumphant.

Joe Don Rooney took a moment during the show to reflect on the band's journey.

"Twenty-six years is a long time to do anything," he told the crowd. "We are so grateful that you all still care and still like our music."

A Tour Full of Energy and Heart

The second leg of the Life Is A Highway Tour kicked off in mid-January in Raleigh, North Carolina, and continues through February 28, wrapping in Buffalo, New York.

The Nashville show delivered a run of fan favorites including:

  • "Fast Cars and Freedom"

  • "Stand"

  • "Mayberry"

  • "What Hurts the Most"

  • "Me and My Gang"

  • And, of course, "Life Is a Highway"

Gary LeVox closed the night by stepping into the crowd during the encore performance of the tour's namesake hit - a full-circle moment for fans who have followed the trio for decades.

Support on the tour includes Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane, both adding their own energy and storytelling to the arena experience.

Family Moment at the Grand Ole Opry

In another memorable highlight this week, Jay DeMarcus' son, Dylan, made his Grand Ole Opry debut on February 10, performing "Bless the Broken Road" alongside his father - a powerful generational moment that resonated deeply with longtime fans.

Looking Ahead

The tour continues February 13 in Duluth, Georgia, before making additional stops across the country.

The band also recently released their duet project Life Is A Highway: Refueled, reimagining their catalog with special guests and introducing their signature harmonies to a new generation of listeners.

Despite facing minor online criticism regarding a recent performance by Gary LeVox, the trio's momentum remains strong, with ticket sales and fan engagement reflecting their enduring appeal.

With 10 million albums sold, multiple Platinum certifications, and arenas still singing every word, Rascal Flatts are proving that their highway is far from over.
