iPhone 6 Production : Finally, Apple's First Ever Phablet

The new iPhone 6 has long been awaited and people can't wait to see what it brings with it. The mass production of the new next generation smartphone is already underway according to reports from Asia. Large scale production is going on for both models, the 4.7 inch version and the 5.5 inch version.

Apparently the rumored 4.7 inch version will be the first to be produced next week while the 5.5 inch version is expected to see its production during the second week of August. This is according to Hon Hai Precision aka Foxconn who is based in Taiwan.

Hon Hai is said to have hired 100,000 workers at its mainland facility to make the phone while, Pegatron a Taiwan based contract manufacture have begun recruiting over 10,000 workers. This information was given by a separate report from the China state run news service.

Now if the reports are correct then the production schedule would fit the rumored September launch of the new iPhone 6 phone.

However, there have been rumors that there have been some problems with the production of the new 5.5 Apple phablet. The large phablet seems to be experiencing a few setbacks with its production. The 5.5 incher is rumored to be delayed according to reports that came in earlier on in the week. A report by KGI Security analyst Ming Chi Kuo said that the 5.5 inch phone may not launch by the end of 2014 or may be launched after October in very limited quantities.

The phones were rumored to be very thin so we expect that both models will be extremely thinner than the normal iPhone standard thickness. According to Kuo the fact that the new phones are expected to be super thin, has been one of the sticky production issue for both models especially the 5.5 inch version.
