Earnest Pugh Displays His Culinary Expertise
Blacksmoke Music Worldwide recording artist Earnest Pugh has invited fans and followers into his home every week for the last couple of months to share cooking secrets via his YouTube page. The award winning singer who recently released his 12th CD, The Outpour Experience featuring the Billboard number one hit God Wants To Heal You has grown a huge following with his cooking vignettes.
Born and raised in Memphis, TN Pugh recalls the "finger licking" meals that his mom prepared on a daily basis. One day while watching his mom cook dinner he asked if he could assist with making the homemade pound cake that she was preparing for dessert. Reluctantly, she consented and from that day forth, he was his mom's helper.
Born and raised in Memphis, TN where soul food is king, Pugh picked up a few secrets from his mother and grandmother that contributes to the authenticity of his southern cuisine style of cooking.
Pugh says "I feel like my love for cooking is a part of my DNA because my mom worked in the Food Service industry for all of her life. What's amazing is that she would work 8-10 hours a day as a Chef and then come home and cook for us as her family with that same passion. Food, fun, and fellowship was the core of our existence as a southern family. You could literally smell and taste the love in her heart in the food. It was nurturing to our heart and soul and thats my objective as I prepare meals.
The Youtube show "Cooking with Earnest Pugh" is posted weekly. The show is also a platform for Pugh to share current events such as new music and upcoming events that he is part of.
