Exciting Spoilers Revealed in New Teaser Trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1"

Capitol TV is back on the air in Panem...with a message from the Rebellion this time. As viewers may remember, the first teaser trailer for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" took the form of an address from President Snow, accompanied by a still and silent Peeta.

In the recently-released second teaser trailer, which you can watch here, viewers are treated to the image of President Snow (played by Donald Sutherland) once again, flanked by not one but two upsetting presences: that of Peeta (played by Josh Hutcherson), and also of Joanna Mason (portrayed by Jena Malone), whom fans will recall was taken captive by the Capitol after the Rebellion put an end to the Hunger Games at the end of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire."

As in the last installment of Capitol TV, both prisoners stand ominously and obediently flanking President Snow, as he delivers an address to the nation of Panem entitled simply, "Unity." However, about halfway through the broadcast, the Rebellion interrupts with a "pirate transmission" from District 13 with this simple message: "The Mockingjay is alive."

This exciting, propaganda-like series of teaser clips has been tantalizing for fans of the series, who must wait until November for the first installment. The second of the "Mockingjay" films will be released a year later, in November of 2015. The films' release dates were not changed, despite many fans' fears that they may be delayed due to the tragic death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, who played the role of Plutarch Heavensbee, the "game-maker" and designer of the Hunger Games in the second film. However, the films will be released as scheduled.
