Shaylee Simeone Releases Her New Christmas EP 'The Holidays'

Nashville-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Shaylee Simeone has released her new Christmas EP 'The Holidays', featuring 3 covers and 2 original songs.
Discussing the EP's third track 'We Three Kings', Shaylee explains, "I chose this song simply for the challenge of it. There aren't very many versions out there that I'm super fond of, and that bummed me out because I LOVE the chorus melody. I could sing it for days. So, Chad Carouthers and I took up the challenge and I couldn't be happier with it. He came up with a beautiful piano turn that really lightened the verse melodies and didn't make them feel so heavy.
Like every song on this record, I wanted to go for a sort of lounge, easy listening vibe. Basically, this whole record is meant to be listened to whilst dancing in your kitchen with a fire lit and lots of eggnog involved. "
With pop-inspired music that is inherently congregational, Shaylee released her single debut 'Dearly Loved' earlier this year.
For years now, Shaylee has enjoyed being a part of several music projects focused on sync/licensing while consistently leading worship at her local church; it's no wonder that writing worship music that feels universally accessible has been such a natural transition. Relatable while rooted in solid Biblical theology, Shaylee longs for her music to be "singable for a normal group of humans."
