Former R&B/Disco Star Vera Brown Releases Gospel Album "Somebody"
Vera Brown is a former R&B/Disco super star who now lifts her voice exclusively to and for God. Her energetic stage presence, commanding vocals and incredible life testimony creates a huge persona for the humble and sweetly poised singer. Her dynamic presence captured the attention of Philadelphia based Enon Music Group whose goal is to assist independent artists in taking the Gospel of music to a global audience.
Enon Music Group, in partnership with The Orchard and Sony Music Group are releasing Vera's SOMEBODY Gospel album digitally on September 6.
SOMEBODY will be available in the United States and Korean markets via digital music and streaming outlets. SOMEBODY features Vera's radio hit "Praise Goes Up" and her new funky single, "Yes We Can" the remake of The Pointer Sisters classic hit.
SOMEBODY is produced by Ver's husband Ben Pressley and was nominated for a 2019 CD Baby Independent Music Award and a 2019 Independent Gospel Artists Alliance Award (IGAA) for Producer of the Year.Vera's professional singing career began over 40 years ago. She is globally known for singing with the group Sassafras and The Ritchie Family (sister group of The Village People) and for her 70's and 80's hits "Bad Reputation", "Put Your Feet To The Beat", and "Where Are The Men".
With her Gospel music, Vera is dedicated to ministering in song and sharing her life in hopes that 'somebody' gets to know the God that makes all things possible and who makes her life complete.
