Soulful singer and songwriter Tara Strickland has released her brand new album Resonate. Tara is an independent singer-songwriter from Northeast Florida. She spent the majority of her childhood playing team sports and earned a scholarship playing softball while attending her first two years of community college. From there, she studied nursing in both undergraduate and graduate school rendering her professional title as a Nurse Practitioner.
Writing was a staple throughout Tara's childhood. As a young adult, her motivation shifted from personal reprieve to reaching others. "I wasn't sure if my writing would take a turn for the books or even poetry, but it was continually bent toward melodies I could hear in my head" ... "this love for writing coupled with my love for music, my love for Jesus was largely a call to surrender, a call to obedience."

Tara grew up in church and was heavily influenced by the Contemporary Christian, Southern Gospel, and Singer / Songwriter genres. As a young adult, she began leading worship in choirs and praise teams which lead her to soloist and instrumentalist roles.
In 2019, she committed to bring forth her writing for the recording and production of the musical album Resonate. She welcomes her listeners to her personal reflections and moments in her journey with melodies that are deep yet structured with a Contemporary Christian / Indie-Pop sensibility.
Throughout this project she shares moments of spiritual battles, stories of joy, and conveys first-person illustrations of Jesus' disciples as described in the Bible. Be prepared to grab your tissues as well as your hands of praise because every moment of Resonate is directed toward the object of the lyrical content-Jesus.
Tara and her husband Chris reside in Northeast Florida where they are members of North Jacksonville Baptist Church.
