Bryan Elliott Departing Gold City

Daniel Riley, owner/manager of Gold City announces that Bryan Elliott has submitted his resignation from the Gadsden, Alabama-based quartet. Bryan's last date with the group will be Saturday June 23 at the Heritage of Gold Gadsden Homecoming. Bryan is taking a break from the road after 17 years of full-time touring.
"This was not an easy decision," Bryan says. "But I've been on the road since I was 15 years old, and I feel like it's time for a change. I do plan to still be involved in music at some point, as I plan to minister with my wife, Kelly, and maybe do some solo work, along with whatever else God has for me. But I feel the time is right to make this move. I want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of me throughout my career. I've been blessed."
Danny says, "Bryan has been with us eight years and he's been a great asset to Gold City, both as a pianist and as a fill-in vocalist. He's kept life on our bus interesting, too, as many of our fans who keep up with us on Facebook know. He's like family, and he will be missed not only by this group, but his peers on the road and, of course, his many fans. We certainly wish him and Kelly and their family all the best as they enter this new chapter of their lives. That said, as with any other personnel change, I look at it as an opportunity to introduce a new talent to our fans and to gospel music. So, we are taking applications for a new pianist. Interested applicants can send a resume, photo, and mp3 of your playing to info@goldcityqt.com.
