Cory Asbury Scores His First #1 Single with "Reckless Love"

Bethel Music's Cory Asbury scores his first #1 with his single "Reckless Love." This is Asbury's first #1 on Billboard's Hot Christian Songs chart. "Reckless" is the title-track lead single from Asbury's LP which launched at No. 1 on Top Christian Album.
Asbury also makes the record for being one of three male artists to hit #1 with their debut single. Prior to "Reckless," Sundance Head, the winner of season 11 of NBC's The Voice, debuted atop the list dated Dec. 17, 2016, with "Me and Jesus." That coronation followed Zach Williams' maiden hit "Chain Breaker," which hit No. 1 on Nov. 19, 2016.
The album "Reckless Love" draws from the lessons learned in the sojourn from boyhood to manhood, and the organic, soulful discovery whole-hearted telling of an essential story in Scripture: a Father's desire for connection with the ones he made, knows and relentlessly loves.
"I had to become a father to learn how to be a son," shares Asbury. "On the journey from boyhood to manhood there were a million cracks in the road. But somehow the grace of God swooped in with wings otherworldly and carried me safely over each one. Now I'm a father to my own little boy. And somehow, in so becoming, I'm a little child again. Fully free and fully alive in my Father's eyes."
