'Days of Our Lives' Latest News, Update: Death of Ej DiMera Fake?
Many have been wondering if James Scott plays as "Ej DiMera" of "Days of Our Lives" departed his role for good.
EJ DiMera was shot and murdered in Salem Park, it was pretty convincing not until we saw his sister Kristen injecting some kind of liquid in his dead arm in the morgue.
Is he dead or what? Per Hollywood News Daily, Several speculations emerged regarding "EJ DiMera's" sudden death. Some say, it was a fake death and the injected fluid in his body will wake him up. "EJ" was said to be on some sort of coma when Sami left him in the morgue. Then there comes her father, "Stepfano" ordered Kristen" to go the hospital and do what she needs to go. During the burial ceremony, it was revealed that Stefano has his son's body and the ashes in Sami's possession were fake.
Others say, he's just dead for good, especially now that the actor confirmed to leave the show for good. Even if "Ej" is alive or not, James Scott won't be coming back to the show. In fact, it was reported in the Celeb Dirty Laundry that James will be leaving NBC soap opera this year (this might be that time). Seems like Ej's character is out of the show for some time.
As for who's going to be the next Ej, "Days of Our Lives" needs to recast the character if they are planning for Ej's major comeback. Based on online reports, Michael Muhney is rumored to replace James Scott. But nothing has been confirmed yet.
Following Ej's departure, Sami Brandy (Alison Sweeney) will be exiting the show as well. Allegedly, she was placed in another soap opera titled "General Hospital". Her 21 years of playing as Sami is now over. Celeb Dirty Laundry claims that her exit will happen after the October 30 episode, however International Business Times reported end of November. At the moment, what can be assured is that "Ej" and Sami's love story will be over this year, as both actors confirmed their exit in the show.
James and Allison leaving the show created a fuss among the "Days of Our Lives" fans, Days of Our Lives' fans are in disagreement about whether or not "EJ DiMera" and/or "Sami Brandy's" character should recast.
At this moment, we're not quite sure how this would turn out, clearly the aftermath of losing the two best actors in a show would be drastic for everyone -- the fans and the writers. Let's see how the writers play their cards on this one.
