Batman Arkham Knight Reveals and Updates: Fans Already Speculating on the Identity of the Arkham Knight

We are still agonizing months away from the release of probably the most anticipated video game of next year; Batman Arkham Knight. This is going to be the 3rd and final chapter of the Rocksteady trilogy of the Batman games which promises to be the best of all time so to speak. In defense of this, the Gotham universe is rumored to expand by about 5 times to Arkham City. There will also be a return of several of Batman's foes and the debut of the Batmobile to keep things interesting. On the other hand, the most hype has gone into the games main villain, the Arkham Knight. From what we know, the Arkham Knight is an upgraded and weaponized version of Batman and has allegiances to the infamous Asylum which inspired the series in the first place.

At the present, Rocksteady is still being tight lipped over all of this, and obviously the fans have cooked up their theories on who might be hiding under the mask. The Arkham Knight is an original creation for sure, so it is not much of a stretch to consider the person inside that suit is also an original character. Fans have been quite determined to figure out to find out who the villain is by reading through the comics and re-watching the movies in order to search out clues, but it just may be that he is not something the Gotham universe has seen before.

There is a counter argument that it would be the best thing for Rocksteady to do considering people would love  an epic reveal. It would not be characteristic of Rocksteady to disappoint the fans some have even speculated that there is no one under the mask and that the Arkham Knight is a robot that is controlled by an artificial intelligence or something of the sort. However, that is the plot with everything nowadays and may be too cliché so it may not be true.
