In the recent post at The Official Motorola Blog, Motorola is excited and confirmed that the latest and greatest Android update will also come to their devices as part of their ongoing software strategy to deliver fast updates to offer pure Android experience to all of their users.

Although Google hasn't officially released the Android 5.0 Lollipop, Motorola is glad to confirm that the upgrade will come to the 1st and 2nd generation of Moto X and Moto G. Droid Ultra, Droid Mini, Droid Maxx, and Moto E are also some of the devices that can be upgraded to the latest Android update once released.

According to The Inquirer, Motorola has not confirmed the availability of the update, yet Google said recently that it will arrive these coming weeks, which is when it will come to several devices including Nexus 10, Nexus 7, and Nexus 5. Of course, Motorola and Google are hoping that users will choose to buy Nexus 6 instead of updating their handset.

Android Geeks also stated that Android 5.0 Lollipop, without a doubt, is the most major update of the mobile platform of Google. The new update will bring a whole new level of design philosophy, which will be based on a color user interface, more realistic shadows, more animations, lock screen notifications, new quick settings area with all new toggles, notifications panel with redesigned features, battery saver mode, which promises a much longer battery life, support for the 64-bit processors, dynamic status, ART runtime rather than Dalvik, document-centric multitasking, and so on.

Once your device becomes eligible to acquire the Android 5.0 Lollipop, you must be able to see the system message in your device's notifications panel. The process of installing the update is the same as before. What you only need to do is to download the update, reboot, and install. If you haven't seen the system update on your notifications, you can check the software updates by going to Settings and check for the software updates. Once your Motorola was updated, expect to get the same user interface as the Nexus devices.
