The Prince Movie DVD Release Date, Reveals and Rumors, Reviews and Spoilers: DVD Release to be on 28th October 2014

The year 2014 has seen a number of films that have done spectacularly well like Captain America and Guardians of the Galaxy. However, not all movies have done too well and have gone to DVD faster than I am sure the directors would have wanted them to. The Prince is one such movie. Grindstone Entertainment Group, Aperture Entertainment, Emmet/Furia Films and Oasis Films entrusted the very capable Brian Miller with the 10 million dollar project. Miller has directed action films like Officer Down and All Things Fall Apart and is no stranger to the genre. The Prince is distributed by Lionsgate and was released to theatres on August 22nd 2014.

Paul, a widowed father discovers that his daughter has gone missing from college with the help of one of her school friends he sets out to find her. It would not be an action movie if there wasn't a host of bad guys that he has to fight and overcome. He finally comes to a drug dealer who has been selling his daughter heroine and is aptly named The Pharmacy. There is a lot of fighting and blood and threatening and the grand villain who turns out is Paul's rival. Why are they rivals? Well Paul put a bomb in his car some years back that killed his family and since then he's been on a path of revenge. The plot has been done over and over in the Taken series which is getting its third installment next year.

Considering the names on the project it is s surprise that it did not do too well. However, maybe these actors should think of transitioning and expanding their repertoire as they continue to age. Bruce Willis circa 2014 is not the same man from the first Die Hard movie. 50 Cent has also been unable to get a really good deal since Get Rich or Die Tryin'. Other actors on the bill are Jason Patric, John Cussack and Gia Mantegna. The DVD should be released on 28th October 2014.
