This is a romantic movie with the best aphrodisiac of all: food. A family is running a successful restaurant business in Mumbai with the oldest son, Hassan, being groomed to replace his mother as head cook. Their business is however fire bombed over an election dispute. The family decides to move to the South of France and start over where they open another restaurant in a small town. This restaurant however is in a building directly opposite another restaurant. The widowed owner of the restaurant tries to sabotage the family which leads to all out war between the two families. However when her Chef's go too far Madame Mallory, our widowed chef fires them and cleans up their mess. In a twist that nobody sees coming Hassan goes to work for Mallory and his unusual style earns her a second Michelin star. Hassan then gets a job in Paris but he misses home and his love and returns to the town and his family and they all live happily ever after.

The award winning Hellen Mirren is Madame Mallory. Om Puri, Manish Dayal and Charlotte Le Bon are also on the list of actors. Just 22 million dollars went into producing the movie and it has so far amassed 88 million dollars at the box office. With a DVD release expected around Christmas they are bound to make a lot more money because this is a good family movie that will make for a good Saturday afternoon watch.
