American Dad Season 11 Big Move News and Updates: 11^th Season Set to Premiere on the 20th of October on TBS

In 2013 Fox decided to drop the widely successful show American Dad; Seth McFarlane may have felt that it was a blow but he is too busy producing its replacement Bordertown. As if they were waiting for Fox to make the announcement TBS quickly swooped in and picked the series up before Netflix or Yahoo could rob them of the opportunity. Fox already had three episodes that they hadn't aired that they showed in September of 2014 which ended with a very touching scene where Stan books a book on the shelf titled 'Family Guy on Fox'. The show's creators have said that the move will not affect the show's quality in any way however in November of 2013 the show's Co-creator/executive Producer Mike Barker left the show. Reruns of American Dad already show on TBS. The network has been saving shows most notably Cougar Town that was dropped by ABC.

The show revolves around CIA operative Stan Smith, his stay at home wife Francine, their son Steve, their daughter Haley, their talking Goldfish Klaus and their Alien Roger. Roger saved Stan's life in Area 51 and Stan took him in. In the earlier seasons the CIA is still searching for Roger, a plot that is later dropped. The show has a cult following with the amoral and sexually ambiguous alien becoming a favorite with fans very quickly. Seth and his team have managed to keep the show fresh by having the smith family go through very dramatic Christmases and somehow becoming Santa's sworn enemies. Roger is also somehow a new character every episode, slipping into disguise to carry out various outrageous plans.

The 11^th season is set to premier on the 20^th of October of 2014. With the move TBS have gone all out on an advertising campaign that had them offering the first episode on social media for 48 hours from the 12^th of October.
