'Ray Donovan' Season 3 News Alert: Season Premiere On 2015
Ray Donovan season 2 is finally wrapped up and the TV series is said to be renewed for another season that will premiere on 2015, exact date might not have been available yet. The series will be coming in strong for next year and will have 12 episodes on the run.
As per Nielsen's estimate, the Live Schreiber starred as Ray Donovan has averaged 2 million viewers for its regular time slot airing and captures 40% increase from its first season finale. Showtime, the channel the carries the TV series is glad to renew the show for another season and have been challenged to surpass its current audience standing with a more exciting plot.
Showtime has already released the 20-second teaser of its newest season that has the promise of being equally, if not more, intriguing that its first two aired seasons. Ann Biderman, the show's creator is reported to not be present anymore on the upcoming season 3 of the show but promise to stay as a consultant. A new creator won't be revealed just yet as the team undergoes verifications and other meetings on how the show will run.
Though Biderman won't stick around anymore, it is sure that the comeback of the series' stars is undoubted. Schreiber, along with other cast members Jon Voight, Hank Azaria, Eddie Marsan and Paula Malcomsom will be back for Ray Donovan Season 3.
Showtime has revealed the creator's leaving and put a lot of great effort in showcasing understanding Biderman's decision: As per David Nevins of Showtime, "Anne Biderman has done great work on Ray Donovan from the very first pitch of the first two amazing seasons. Ray Donovan has become a signature asset for Showtime, and Ann will continue as a creative consultant on the show. We look forward to continuing our relationship with her."
Anne Biderman and Showtime had not revealed the reason behind the big decision but it's indeed good to know that she will stay on the show as a different identity and not totally leaving it behind.
On the other hand, the cast and crew will be begin shooting in Calabasas in early 2015 for its season 3 and is looking forward to have the newest season release on summertime.
