'Deadpool' Movie News: Deadpool Left Unfavorable Taste To Its Fans, Fox And Producer Simon Kinberg Is Planning A Production For The Villain
The anti-hero character created by Marvel in connection with 'X-Men' and 'X-men Origins: Wolverine', Deadpool left an unfavorable taste to its fans. But Fox and producer Simon Kinberg is planning a production for the villain that is 'to exist in a shared universe with Wolverine and Co.'
According to empireonline.com, in Comic-Con interview, Kinberg told them that:
'There's definitely a sort of overall plan that we've all been talking about for the X-Men universe now, and Deadpool obviously it fits into that. So yeah, I guess I would say it's part of certainly an overall timeline and thought process that goes into these films, some of which is inspired by the comics and some which is inspired by seeing what Marvel's done with telling a larger tapestry and linking all those movies together, even as they stand independently as well. The same kind of thought is going to go into these X-Men movies at Fox'.
On his first appearance in Marvel since February 1991, this 'mentally unstable mercenary' and 'disfigured' character was created by artist Rob Liefield and Writer Fabian Nicieza. Deadpool or 'The Merc with a Mouth' is an enormous talker and has an impulse to hit the 4th wall, making him a source of humor.
His portrayal on 2009 marvel movie 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' was played by Ryan Reynolds, and the feature film and focal point of his character is expected to kick off the cinemas in February 12, 2016.
According to the site dedicated to the Deadpool, thedeadpoolbugle.com, Actor Ryan Reynolds has to say something about what is happening in the ongoing production, '"That movie is alive and kicking, and then it's dead as a doornail. Then it's alive and kicking and then it's dead... it's like the worst relationship I've ever had!"
"The character knows he's a comic-book character, he knows he's in a film, he knows who the executives are at the studio making the movie," Reynolds explained. "In the current iteration of the script, Deadpool is aware of the Wolverine movie. He doesn't say anything disparaging about it but he does at one point play with the Deadpool action figure with some curiosity," shared the actor to Total Film Magazine.
