Real Housewives of Atlanta News and Updates: Nene Leakes to Receive Huge Raise from Bravo as Porscha Williams Demoted from 'Housewife'
The seventh season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta is set to return to the screen next month and it has been confirmed that long time stars such as Nene Leakes, Phaedra and Cynthia Bailey are expected to make a comeback, at least according to Us Magazine. There are some cast members that will not be reprising their starring roles, though like Porscha Williams after show host, Andy Cohen attacked Kenya Moore at the filming of season six reunion last March. She has now been downgraded to a guest star. She claimed in an interview with People magazine, that she blindsided by the demotion from 'Housewife status' especially after a long season of filming and giving it her all, allegedly.
She is now going to remain on the show in a Friend capacity. Williams apparently emphasized her personality saying that she can only be Porscha and portraying anything else on screen would not be honest nor honest as far as she is concerned. The incident which involved Kenya Moore apparently happened after she made a few colorful comments about William's ex husband, Kordell Stewart. Moore is still going to reprise her leading cast role for the seventh season of the show.
In other news it seems that series star Nene Leakes is about to be raking it in even more than she is at the preset as Bravo has given her a sizeable raise to convince her to reprise her role for the seventh season of the show. According to rumors from Radar Online, Leakes will be earning 1.5 million dollars for the upcoming season and this is going to make her the highest paid Bravo reality star yet. She was able to successfully negotiate the pay increase because she is easily the most popular housewife of the Bravo franchises. The insider explained, "Without Nene, RHOA wouldn't be the ratings blockbuster that it continues to be. While some of the other shows including [Real Housewives of New Jersey] and [Real Housewives of New York] have endured ratings slumps."
