'The Judge' Release Date: Iron Man Has a Drama Film As A Judge This Oct. 10
Robert Downey Jr., hailed as amongst the most brilliant actors of his time, takes a break from his signature character as "Ironman" with a serious, drama film "The Judge." A different Downey will be seen on the silver screen as he portrays a Chicago attorney who returns to his childhood home following his mother's death only to discover that he has to defend his estranged father in court.
The Ironman star rocked almost two million followers on his Twitter account when he started in April. This just proves how the versatile actor is well loved by his fans. His newest post gave a hint of his latest movie soon- to- be released, "The Judge." "The kind of movie I grew up wanting to make." he said.
Downey plays the lead role as Hank Palmer, a premier Chicago defense lawyer, who had to come back to his hometown in Carlinville, Indiana for her mother's funeral. Having a gap to his father, Palmer finds reluctant to get in touch with his father, portrayed by Robert Duvall as Judge Joseph Palmer.
The twist comes in when Palmer discovered that he is not only haunted by the past when he returned to his hometown. This time, he has to face another trial where he has to defend his father in court. His father is accused of murder. The final revelations will be exposed on the "The Judge Release Date."
The drama movie, "The Judge." shows great learning and values as the story began to unfold. Not only it reminds that "the past is our great teacher," but it also reminds the value of family. Aside from the life lessons the movie teaches, the film also shows an extraordinary chemistry between Downey Jr. and Duvall.
Before Duvall was chosen to play as Judge Palmer, jack Nicholson and Tommy Lee Jones were also considered for the role. Other co-stars include Vera Farmiga, Dax Shepard, Vincent D'Onofrio, Leighton Meester, David Krumholtz, Jeremy Strong and Billy Bob Thornton.
"The Judge Release Date" is slated to be out in U.S. theaters on Oct. 10 and on Oct. 17 in UK cinemas.
