Sony world the inventors of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 and major games present today in the Gaming world still continue to add more innovative products to their lineup. The Gaming Tech company sets out to unveil the PlayStation TV. According to Sony Corp, PlayStation TV set-top box allow users to access movies and TV episodes present in the PlayStation store. The PlayStation TV is expected to hit stores in the United States of America and in Canada on October 14th.
The company, Sony Corp posted on a blog that the PlayStation TV (PS TV) will go for around $99.99, and for $139.99 customers can get a wireless dual shock controller, an 8GB memory card and 'The Lego Movie' videogame along with the PS TV.
Report speculate that the PS TV will be able to access over 700 games which include "Metal Gear Solid" and the franchise "Killzone: Mercenary."
"PlayStation Vita TV" was the name under which the PS TV was released in Japan and Asian Countries last fall. Sony Company and Sony Corp is in the raps of expanding its network services which it intends to compete against players like Amazon.com Inc. . So far the company has not yet officially stated a date when the TV services will be made available online.
Earlier this month Sony signed a deal to carry 22 Viacom Inc. Channels which include Comedy Central and MTV which will make their debut on the PlayStation TV.
Shaun Layden, PlayStation boss told tech Blog Re/Code in June that Sony was on track to unveil PS TV sometime this year. Sony's Wed TV Service which the PlayStation TV will offer will bring the company at per with other tech company who have crowned the market with similar devices from Apple Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Roku.
PS TV is expected to play many PlayStation Vita Games and also PlayStation One and PSP games. It will have a feature which allows remote play one can stream PlayStation 4 games from one PS4 console in your home onto a separate television that the PS TV is connected to. Sony announced that a limited time PS TV bundle will be available at Wal-Mart.
