Hollywood's renewed appetite for inspirational storytelling is showing no signs of slowing down-and this fall, one of America's most beloved screen legends is getting the big-screen tribute many fans believe is long overdue.

JIMMY, the highly anticipated biopic chronicling the untold story of legendary actor Jimmy Stewart's military service during World War II, is set to make its world premiere in Fort Worth, Texas, on November 4 before opening nationwide through Fathom Entertainment just two days later on November 6.

But this isn't just another Hollywood biography.

The film promises to reveal how Stewart's extraordinary experiences as a decorated bomber pilot forever changed the man audiences came to know as George Bailey in It's a Wonderful Life, offering an intimate look at the personal sacrifices that shaped one of cinema's most admired stars.

The premiere itself carries special significance. Fort Worth wasn't chosen by chance-it was one of Stewart's favorite American cities.

According to executive producer Kelly Stewart-Harcourt, Jimmy Stewart and his wife Gloria shared treasured memories in Fort Worth thanks to close friends Bess and Fran Johnson. Their visits included fishing adventures, time spent at the Johnsons' famed Possum Kingdom ranch, and unforgettable African safaris that inspired Stewart's lifelong passion for wildlife conservation.

Those deep Texas roots made Fort Worth the perfect place to introduce JIMMY to the world.

The premiere will also help launch the 20th anniversary of the Lone Star Film Festival, where organizers say Stewart himself would have been delighted to celebrate. In tribute to his legacy of humility, courage, and public service, the festival will also present its inaugural Jimmy Stewart Service Award to an actor who exemplifies those same values.

The production has assembled an impressive cast that blends familiar Hollywood names with fan favorites from the faith-based entertainment world. KJ Apa leads the film alongside Neal McDonough, Sarah Drew, Kara Killmer, Christopher McDonald, Max Casella, Rob Riggle, Julian Works, and Jen Lilley. Director Aaron Burns, screenwriter Justin Strawhand, producers David Cook, Angela Galgani Sullivan, Jack McClintock, and executive producer Kelly Stewart-Harcourt are all expected to attend the world premiere.

Adding to the excitement, Burns & Co. has released a stirring new trailer in conjunction with America's upcoming 250th birthday celebrations, positioning the film as both a tribute to Stewart and a celebration of what many remember as the "Greatest Generation."

The timing couldn't be more fitting.

With audiences increasingly embracing uplifting films rooted in history, patriotism, and enduring values, JIMMY arrives amid a resurgence of faith-friendly and family-oriented cinema. Recent successes have demonstrated that moviegoers are eager for stories celebrating courage, sacrifice, and hope rather than cynicism.

Whether JIMMY becomes the next breakout inspirational hit remains to be seen, but one thing is already clear: Jimmy Stewart's remarkable story is finally stepping out from behind one of Hollywood's most iconic smiles and taking center stage where many believe it has always belonged.
