Conservative commentator, radio host, and PragerU founder Dennis Prager is reportedly facing another serious health challenge. According to a report from ChurchLeaders, the 77-year-old broadcaster has been hospitalized after doctors allegedly discovered blood clots in his lungs and diagnosed him with pneumonia.

The report, published on June 5, cites a credible anonymous source familiar with the situation. At the time of publication, neither Prager nor representatives from PragerU had publicly confirmed or denied the hospitalization. ChurchLeaders stated that it had reached out to PragerU for comment and would provide updates should additional information become available.

The reported medical emergency comes less than two years after Prager suffered a life-altering spinal cord injury following a devastating fall in November 2024. The accident damaged his C3 and C4 vertebrae and left him paralyzed, prompting a lengthy rehabilitation journey that has been closely followed by his supporters.

Despite the severity of that injury, Prager previously expressed gratitude for what many medical professionals described as an extraordinary recovery. During an interview with PragerU CEO Marissa Streit, he recalled doctors telling him that his ability to speak after the accident was remarkable.

"A number of doctors, independently of one another, have described the fact that I am talking as a miracle," Prager said at the time. "And these are not religious people. I am cognizant of how lucky I am to be able to speak."

News of the latest health setback has prompted an outpouring of concern and prayers from supporters across the political and faith communities. Among those responding was Pastor Lucas Miles, vice president of Turning Point USA Faith and a prominent Christian author and commentator.

"Dennis Prager has been one of the most influential voices for faith, freedom, and common-sense conservatism in our generation," Miles said in a statement provided to ChurchLeaders. "Through his writing, broadcasting, and teaching, he has challenged millions to think deeply, live courageously, and uphold the values that have made America strong."

Miles also encouraged believers to unite in prayer for Prager during this difficult season.

"During this season, I encourage believers across the nation to join me in praying for Dennis-asking God to grant him strength, healing, peace, and renewed vitality," he said. "We honor his decades of faithful service and stand with him in prayer, trusting the Lord's sustaining grace and goodness."

For decades, Prager has been one of the most recognizable voices in American conservative media. He gained prominence through his nationally syndicated radio program and later expanded his influence through PragerU, the educational media platform he co-founded in 2009. The organization has become a major force in online political and cultural commentary, producing videos and educational resources viewed by millions worldwide.

Raised in an Orthodox Jewish home, Prager has frequently spoken and written about the importance of faith, morality, and Western civilization. His extensive bibliography includes works such as If There Is No God: The Battle Over Who Defines Good and Evil, The Rational Bible series, and No Safe Spaces, all of which reflect his commitment to exploring the intersection of religion, ethics, culture, and public life.

While details regarding his current condition remain limited, the reported diagnosis is especially concerning given his age and recent medical history. Pneumonia can pose significant risks for older adults, particularly those recovering from major physical trauma, while blood clots in the lungs, known medically as pulmonary embolisms, often require immediate treatment and careful monitoring.

As supporters await official updates, prayers and messages of encouragement continue to pour in for the longtime broadcaster. Many are hoping that Prager, who has already demonstrated remarkable resilience in the face of adversity, will once again overcome a significant health challenge.
