GRAMMY-nominated worship leader and songwriter Jenn Johnson has announced the upcoming release of her debut solo album, HAPPY, arriving May 22. The 12-track project is available now for pre-order and pre-save, inviting listeners into what Johnson describes as a deeply personal musical journey of faith, healing, and hope.
Known globally as a key voice behind Bethel Music, Johnson steps into a new artistic chapter with HAPPY, an album she describes as "a mosaic - a walk through my life." The project follows the release of two preview singles, "Here In Your Arms" featuring Brian Johnson and "Walk With Me" featuring Tiffany Hudson of Elevation Worship.
"My new album, HAPPY, is a mosaic - a walk through my life," Johnson shares. "A mosaic is made from broken pieces that come together to create something beautiful. In many ways, that's what life looks like. Moments of joy, moments of heartbreak, seasons of growing, and seasons of healing. But through it all, God is present. This album is both a testimony and a promise that no matter what we walk through, God is always putting the pieces together and making something beautiful."
Blending authentic worship with country warmth and pop influences, HAPPY presents a sound that feels both intimate and accessible. The album features collaborations with several notable worship voices including Abbie Gamboa, Brooke Ligertwood, and Hudson. The songs reflect a longing to know God more deeply and celebrate the joy found in walking with Him through every season of life.
The album's debut single, "Here In Your Arms," written and recorded with Brian Johnson, offers a gentle country-inspired reflection on enduring love and faithfulness. Meanwhile, the recently released "Walk With Me" serves as a thematic introduction to the album's message - reminding listeners that even amid disappointment, unanswered questions, and life's uncertainties, God's presence remains constant.
For Johnson, whose voice has helped define modern worship music, the album represents both personal vulnerability and spiritual declaration. As co-founder and president of Bethel Music, she has co-written global worship anthems including "Goodness of God," "The Blood," and "Holy Forever." The latter earned a 2025 GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song in a version featuring CeCe Winans.
With songwriting and vocal contributions across 18 Bethel Music albums, Johnson's influence continues to shape worship music in churches around the world.
