Pentatonix 'Papaoutai' New Music Video Released, Watch Here (VIDEO)
The popular vocal group Pentatonix have released a new music video for the song "Papaoutai", which you can check out above.
"We made bolder choices. In my honest opinion, in Volumes I and II, we were still trying to figure out our sound. This time, the album is really well thought out and put together," Kirstie recently told Glamour mag about the record.
She added, "Each song individually is important to helping the album move and giving it a good arc. This is the most I have been excited about an album, truthfully. It is a powerhouse album; I can't wait for everyone to hear it."
They stopped by ABC studios on Thursday (Sept 25) to make an appearance on Good Morning America in New York City.
The a capella group, including members Kirstie Maldonado, Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola shared about their new album and upcoming Christmas album they will be releasing as well.
The group of five vocalists is from Arlington, Texas and became known by winning Season 3 of the The Sing-Off on NBC in 2011. They won $200,000 and a recording contract with Sony. Their debut EP, PTX, Volume 1 (2012), charted at #14 on the Billboard 200 and their second release, PTX, Vol. II (2013), debuted #10 on the Billboard 200 and #1 for Independent Albums. They have sold over 500,000 records.[1] The group's third album PTX, Vol. III was released on September 23, 2014, which will be followed by a Christmas album on October 23. PTX Vol. III was actually released early in some countries including Germany on September 20, and the UK on September 21.
Entertainment Weekly reported earlier this Summer that the group will join the cast of the a cappella-centric film Pitch Perfect 2. The movie is scheduled to release to theaters on May 15, 2015.
