Ryley Michael Set to Release Debut Project "Find My Way"
From sunny California to the vast expanses of Montana, it has all been a journey that has helped Christian Hip Hop artist Ryley Michael find his way to where he is now. He has made it to a new beginning as he completes his debut project.
'Find My Way' is a five-song EP that displays the emcee's ever-growing ability to bridge the gap between hip hop's "classic" sound and the modern soundscape of today. The preparation was a detailed and intentional process that served a greater purpose than simply releasing music.
"I'm super proud of this project," explained Michael. "I was at a place of feeling stuck as an artist, feeling like I could only make one kind of song. I decided to get out of my box."
"I linked up with Saint Marcel, who produced the whole EP, and flew down to San Diego where we wrote and recorded pretty much the whole project in four days. This EP, for me, was me beginning to test and push myself by doing some things I hadn't before."
Michael, originally from Paso Robels, CA, also linked up with Obed Padilla as well as indie hip hop up and coming artist Bartholomew Jones in order to finish off 'Find My Way'. Padilla provided additional production while Jones lends a complimenting vocal presence.
'Find My Way' is available beginning May 29, 2020 via Michael's website and across digital outlets June 26, 2020.
The project will include single releases, as well as music videos, for a deeper look and understanding of the thought process behind its creation.
