J. Douglas Wright Releases 'Blindspot'
J. Douglas Wright has released his new single 'Blindspot', taken from the recent album 'Breathing Fire Like Dragons'. It is based on Hebrews 11:1 that says "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen" and 2 Corinthians 4:18: "While we look not at the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal."
The song speaks to the idea that many times any struggle with faith we may have is of our own making. We focus on the chaos around us rather than trusting God with our whole hearts. The song is a call to crash the walls and all the barriers of doubt we have created and to seek and see God in every moment, as He is working all things for our good!
The song and album were produced by Swaff (Family Force 5, Decemberadio, Third Day, JJ Weeks Band, After Edmund, 7eventh Time Down) and was recorded live at The Delivery Room in Villa Rica, Georgia. The song features Robbie Fritz (drums), Cody Preston (guitar), Matt Rolfe (bass), and Swaff (guitar).
