RCA Inspiration Celebrates Two Nominations for the 2019 50TH NAACP Image Awards
RCA Inspiration celebrates two nominations for the 2019 50TH NAACP Image Awards®, with chart-topping artist Koryn Hawthorne garnering recording nods for Outstanding New Artist, and Outstanding Gospel Album (Traditional or Contemporary) for her #1 full-length debut Unstoppable. Additionally, multiple NAACP Image Award-winning Fo Yo Soul/RCA artist/songwriter Kirk Franklin garners a nod for his featured performance with Tori Kelly on her hit song "Never Alone," which is nominated for Outstanding Song-Traditional, fresh off a GRAMMY® win this week for Best Gospel Performance/Song.
Phil Thornton, RCA Inspiration SVP and General Manager says, "Congratulations to Koryn and Kirk on their Image Award nominations! We appreciate the honors from the NAACP with their nominations for their hit musical contributions this past year."
Kirk Franklin and Koryn Hawthorne are also continuing to heat up the charts in 2019 with newly-recorded songs. Franklin's newest single "Love Theory" has already hit #1 on Billboard's Hot Gospel Songs, Gospel Digital Song Sales, and Gospel Streaming Songs Charts. Hawthorne's newest single "Unstoppable" (feat. Lecrae) is in the Top 5 on Billboard's Gospel Digital Song Sales Chart. The 50TH NAACP Image Awards® will air live from Los Angeles on Saturday, March 30, 2019 on TV ONE at 9 pm/8c.
