Singer/Songwriter Glenn Allen Gray Pairs Up With Gospel Rap Artist Darian Gray For "We Need Your Blessing Lord"
Glenn Allen Gray makes a penitent plea for Divine intervention in his new single, We Need Your Blessing Lord featuring Gospel Rap artist Darian Gray. Impacted by repeated incidents of injustice and senseless violence targeting inner city youth across the nation, Gray believes that God will come to our rescue when we unite together and ask Him for his help.
"The world as we know it is on a downward spiral and moving quickly", says Gray. "Living in Flint and seeing first-hand the water crisis and its impact on all life, not just the young but the old, it is clear that we need a course of action and immediate assistance. II Chronicles 7:14 is the answer for our problem. Every major move of God comes as people unite and ask God to intervene". Having lived through the turbulent times, Gray is quick to acknowledge the work of God in in his life. A family focused man of prayer, faith and action, Gray does not limit his Christian service to Sunday mornings, but believes a potent faith is a passionate faith every day of the week. To that end, he spends time in the community challenging the status quo, aiding and assisting the youth and less fortunate.
Gray's musical influence is deeply rooted in the authenticity of the church with subtle inflections of the music of the Eddie Kendricks Motown era coupled with the message music of Marvin Gaye, the Staple Singers and Stevie Wonder. Gray penned We Need Your Blessing Lord and in addition to the collaboration with Darian Gray worked with noted Grammy and Stellar nominated producer Jeffrey LaValley (Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship, Florida Mass Choir, Myrna Summers). Glenn adds, "Working with Jeff was a real honor, he has worked with some of the best in the industry, and God sent Darian to add a little extra to the mix.. The message of We Need Your Blessing Lord speaks to audiences of every generation." The single has been serviced to radio and is currently available on iTunes, Amazon and other digital outlets.
