Rejoice! Musical Soul Food Expands into Africa
Rejoice! Musical Soul Food (MSF), the fastest growing 24-hour gospel music radio network in the USA, is now expanding its reach into Africa. There's an AfricaUSA Gospel channel that plays inspirational and gospel music around the clock and there's also an AfricaUSA Hip Hop and R&B channel that plays a contemporary urban format 24 hours a day.
The channels are distributed by ViewSat's free-to-air service on Satellite SES5. The satellite footprint cover over 786 million on the African continent. The programming also airs on cable systems in Nairobi and Tanzania. The company has launched www.africausaradio.com as the online hub for its dual music channels.
"We're really excited about this new venture and the response has been great," says Rejoice! Musical Soul Food CEO Mike Chandler, a thirty-year broadcasting executive. "We are taking good music, thought-provoking programming and information to an extremely under-served continent and I'm excited about the potential for us to influence people's lives on a daily basis and give them something that many of us take for granted."
The Virginia Beach, VA-based company has been rapidly expanding its reach and brand with an assortment of exciting new syndicated programs by legendary recording artists such as SWV's Coko, Dorinda Clark Cole, Dottie Peoples and Melvin Williams of The Williams Brothers alongside national broadcasts by veteran on-air radio personalities Liz Black, Cedric Bailey and Tracy Morgan. Rejoice! Musical Soul Food was founded in 1989 and boasts a constellation of 39 AM and FM radio station affiliates across the USA. The network also syndicates its specialty shows to an additional 102 stations in the U.S.
